The start of a new year is a natural time to try something new and, in many cases, that “something new” has something to do with changing the way we eat. I am not going to bore you with statistics, but I have a hunch that most resolutions involve eating more vegetables, exercising more and drinking more water. All good things, and things many of us could stand to be doing more of.
The problem with making New Year’s resolutions is that as soon as the shine wears off and February rolls around, it’s easy to slip back into our old routine.
One excellent way to stick to those new diet and lifestyle changes is to set goals. Make sure your goals are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-bound). An example of a SMART goal would be to fit into a pair of skinny jeans in six months so you can wear them to your birthday party. An example of a goal that isn’t SMART would be to lose 100 pounds.
Joining a challenge is a great way to stay on target as you head toward your goals. The support that comes from being part of a group of like-minded people is energizing and motivating, and many who have “been there done that” will tell you that joining a challenge was the key to their weight loss success.
Our 30 Day Paleo Challenge is going on right now and we would love to have you join us.
No matter what health-related resolutions you made on December 31, adopting a Paleo lifestyle will help you reach them. That’s because you can’t possibly go Paleo without giving up the packaged junk and focusing on a diet of whole foods, quality proteins and healthy fats. This way of eating will help you lose weight, but it also rids your body of foods that cause inflammation, making your entire system run more smoothly. My Paleo diet helped me to get a handle on my severe rosacea, and it’s done wonders for my autoimmune disorder, Hashimoto’s Disease.
I can honestly say that I have never felt better in my entire life since I started eating this way.
Whether you’ve resolved to go Paleo or just to eat healthier this year, you will benefit from joining our challenge.
When you join , you get:
• 30 days worth of amazing Paleo dinner idea recipes so you’re not left scrambling, wondering what to eat.
• Weekly shopping lists that you can take to the grocery store with you in order to make those delicious dinners.
• 10 breakfast recipes, 10 lunch recipes and several snack suggestions so you’re well armed with eating options.
• Our Paleo Challenge how-to guide
And the best part is, for the monthly subscription price of just $15 members get access to our private Facebook page where you’ll get all of the support you could possibly need as all of us Paleoistas share our own triumphs, challenges, new finds and meal ideas.
