LOVE me some spice blends!
This is the stuff that makes cooking sooooo easy! #SmartSpiceBlend
We demo’d a spice blend on a Facebook Live that you can watch if you go to our Saving Dinner Facebook page (just scroll, it’s there!)
And I promised you in that video that I’d have some more recipes for you—and I do.
But first I want to give you some ideas on how to use your spice blends AND how to store them.
- 1) Use as a rub and in tandem with your marinade
- 2) Use in a compound butter (I showed you how in the FB Live!)
- 3) Sprinkle on top of your morning eggs
- 4) Cook your rice in chicken broth and your fave spice blend for easy pilaf
- 5) Egg salad? Oh yes indeed, extra yum factor!
- 6) Salad dressing—kick up Leanne’s Basic Vinaigrette into a flavor bomb!
- 7) Boring steamed veggies? Just add some compound butter (see #2)
- 8) Bone broth need some punch? There you go, add some spice blend!
- 9) Store it in a sealed container for up to a month
- 10) Throw it in the freezer forever—it won’t clump up and it will stay fresh
