Leanne’s Books

Leanne Ely is a New York Times Best Selling Author. Leanne, aka the Dinner Diva, has helped thousands of families by bringing them back to the dinner table one meal at a time.

While Paleo has many benefits, getting started can be intimidating and confusing. In Part-Time Paleo, Leanne helps remove those obstacles as she teaches you how to:
•  Equip your kitchen for success
•  Stock your pantry, fridge, and freezer for quick and easy meals
•  Simplify your life with menu plans, grocery lists, and serving suggestions
•  Harness the magic of your slow cooker
•  Make dozens of delicious gluten-and dairy-free recipes

Healthy, home-cooked dinners shouldn’t be a thing of the past. With Leanne’s easy-to-follow recipes and advice, you can save dinner from extinction and return it to its rightful place–your family’s kitchen table. Second edition with a whole section on freezer meals!

Full of practical tips on simple, healthy, and inexpensive meal planning, Saving Dinner is the ideal solution for today’s busy parents who would love to have their family sitting around the dinner table once again.

As a certified nutritionist, Leanne loves delicious food and is dedicated to enticing today’s busy families back to the dinner table with home cooking that cannot be beat. Here, she integrates low-carb requirements into her mélange of dining pleasures for every season–providing easy-to-follow menus and highlighting per-serving measurements of calories, fat, protein, carbohydrates, cholesterol, and sodium for each dish.

Body Clutter is Leanne and the FLYlady teaming up to teach readers how to handle and erase the clutter they carry on their bodies and minds when it comes to body image.

It’s not about finding the perfect diet, it’s about the way you feel about food and your body and understanding sound nutrition.

Your mother always said to eat your vegetables–and now you can cook them into delicious, savory meals!

Leanne has made it her mission to ensure that meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking are all easy as pie.

Created for the nearly 25 million full-fledged vegetarians across the country, and for anyone who sometimes wants a menu that focuses on something besides meat, Saving Dinner the Vegetarian Way shares cuisine that is as varied as it is healthy.

If you think that folding an egg has something to do with laundry, or that a wok is a good exercise, you’ve come to the right place.

Saving Dinner Basics includes a handy glossary of common food terminology, a spice primer (it’s about time you discovered thyme!), and a troubleshooting guide for various cooking challenges. Let Leanne help you turn your kitchen into what it was meant to be: the place where great meals begin.

In Saving Dinner for the Holidays Leanne will show you that festive meals can be as easy and relaxing as they are tasty. She plans the menus, provides comprehensive, itemized shopping lists that are organized by supermarket sections, includes heirloom recipes, and even includes the all-important timeline so that your party goes off without a hitch. Leanne also gives you a big helping hand in the kitchen and offers tips on how to make your table sparkle with warmth and beauty.

For families seeking real-life answers to real-life nutrition, the book that delivers is here. With humor and wit and over 100 family-tested recipes, Leanne Ely offers guidance to creating a nutritional eating plan within the family. She also covers topics like mealtime mechanics, overweight children, allergies and kids, manners, and much more. This humorous book is sure to become a family favorite!

Ward and June Cleaver don’t live here anymore. The Frantic Family Cookbook is designed with today’s family in mind. Sprinkled with tips and kitchen insight, all the recipes in this cookbook are quick to make and (mostly) healthful–with the added benefit of being cost-conscious.

These casserole and soup recipe pairs each contain at least TWO of the same ingredients. You can prepare all of these in 1 week, or make each pair at one time. You can prepare the soups while the casseroles are cooking…OR, you can prepare the casseroles while the soups are cooking—your choice. In either case, there’s tomorrow’s dinner!

We know holiday plans this year have been altered for
many of us - including this mother-daughter duo *sobs* -
which is why we conspired to put together this menu.
It's still full of comfort food and each recipe feels
special and shareable (except those potatoes... you
might want to keep those all to yourself).
Cheers and happy holidays,
Leanne and Caroline

We had so much fun creating our first "Intimate Holiday Feast Menu" we thought this whirlwind of a year deserved a sequel to that delicious feast! Even though the end seems to be in sight, we know most of us are still having to spend the holidays away from our family and loved ones due to the not-so-convenient-unless-you-need-an-excuse-to-get-away-from-your-family pandemic. Each of the recipes in this menu was carefully chosen and tested. We think they're remarkably special and we are thrilled to share them with you!
Cheers and happy holidays,
Leanne and Caroline
