In 2019, the Harvard Gazette published an article titled, Epidemic of Autoimmune Diseases Calls for Action.

“They’re (autoimmune diseases) increasing in frequency and occurring earlier in life, and we don’t understand why,” said Arlene Sharpe, professor of pathology at Harvard Medical School. “There’s tremendous need to understand the causes of these diseases and how to treat them.”

Sharpe went on to say, “Over the past 30 years, autoimmune diseases have become almost epidemic.

After going through an actual pandemic for the past couple of years, we all understand what epidemic means–

(noun) A widespread occurrence of a disease

Internationally, it is now estimated that cases of autoimmune diseases are rising by between 3% and 9% a year

More than 80 different autoimmune diseases have been identified, and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) report that 23.5 million Americans are affected.

That’s a lot.

It’s scary and it leaves those of us who are affected with autoimmunity wondering what to do next.

In this newest master class on autoimmune disease, I’ll take you through what you can do if you’ve been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease–it’s not the end of the world!

I know this for certain. I’ve lived it, gotten on the other side of it, and will show you exactly what you need to know and what to do.
