| Harnessing Those High Vibes Our high or low vibes are pretty much a frequency. Much like tuning into a radio station. Living in the mountains of North Carolina, I have noticed how variable the signal is on the radio in the car. On the way down the mountain, the signal often fluctuates from clear to static… and sometimes entirely changes. I’ve noticed that with myself, too – especially when I’m high vibing – something happens, I get a little static-y, and sometimes, I tune into the wrong vibe. Why? My frequency was way off. I allowed downer thoughts to come in. Then I actually entertained them like they were guests in my home! Then they robbed me blind, stealing my joy, leaving me with nothing but the same old familiar feelings, thoughts, and topping it all off with a big heaping pile of defeatism. To get the station that you want, you have to get tuned to the frequency that the station emits: – Your location counts. – The dial on the radio counts. In other words, there needs to be a match. The woo-woo expression for this is a vibrational match. Honestly, it’s just matching energy levels! And remember, everything has its own vibe, from food to emotions to your skin to the bricks in your home. Nothing is vibe-less. Finding your chosen vibe and harnessing it is much like your taste in music – you get to choose it.
And just like when you land on a station that plays music you don’t like, you get to change it.
So how does this all work?
- You attract what you think about, talk about, and emote over, so saying, “I don’t have time,” is an energy of lack and scarcity. Saying and thinking instead, “I am finding time for my priorities,” is an energy of abundance and opens up possibilities.
- Tuning into high vibes creates contrast – you can feel the low vibe-ness of low vibes. You feel the high vibe of high-vibeness, yes, it’s that simple.
- Allow your positive, abundant emotions to be your guide – God knows our negative emotions have a certain amount of expertise in our lives! It’s time to train up your high vibe!
- Create fertile soil to plant these seeds of possibility by nurturing yourself through self-care:
- Food.
- Meditation and prayer.
- Journaling.
- Sleep.
- Hydration.
- Movement.
- Cut the low vibe stuff – you know what those things are – remember like unwelcome guests who rob you, steal from you, and leave you empty, depressed, and feeling not enough, low vibes give you nothing.
Practicing high vibe is about aligning with what you want – never what you don’t want.
